I was asked to do a reading for a horse named Tuff. She was living up to her name by being “tough” and throwing her preteen rider. When I asked her why, she said Hannah had to “work” for it. She wanted to teach her persistence and wanted to build her self-confidence.
Tuff had questions for me also. She wanted to know why her owner left her there and why did she come to visit the family and not her? I had to get the answers and connect back with her. We as humans don’t always understand the intelligence of our animal companions. If the previous owner had explained to Tuff why she was giving her away then she wouldn’t have had to experience all that anxiety from not knowing.
